The Nan Eilean Museum in Stornoway, Scotland organises activities to involve the organisation and the community. The Sònraichte project leaders demonstrated to the public through an Open House event, how archaeological sites are excavated, how they are transferred to the museum and how they are managed by the museum’s archaeologist. They contacted me to create a poster that would catch the public’s attention and be a small taste of what they were going to present.
I was at their workshops in Stornoway, took some photographs and we started a wonderful journey that resulted in 5 posters, of such good quality that they were used on different dates, as well as on social media.
